Thread Lift

Moderate
Swelling, bruising, and tightness for about 1–2 weeks; the strongest swelling typically lasts 3–4 days. Usually easy to conceal with a mask or makeup.

Double Eyelid Surgery (Buried Suture, Non-Incision)

Mild
Swelling usually settles within a few days to about a week, and any bruising often fades in around 2 weeks. The area is easy to conceal with glasses or makeup (individual results vary).

Botox Injection

Very mild
Needle marks and mild redness typically last a few hours to a few days; if bruising occurs, it generally fades within about a week. It is usually easy to conceal with makeup, and time off work is often said to be unnecessary.

Hyaluronic Acid Filler

Very mild
Redness at the needle marks and mild swelling typically last a few days; if bruising appears, expect around 1–2 weeks. It tends to be easy to hide with makeup or a mask.

Facial Liposuction

Substantial
For many people, swelling and puffiness ease over about 1–2 weeks and bruising over about 1–2 weeks; a compression garment typically needs to be worn for the first few days to a week.

Non-Incision Under-Eye Bag Removal (Transconjunctival Fat Removal)

Mild
Swelling typically lasts a few days to about a week. If bruising appears, it often takes around 2 weeks to fade, and this procedure is fairly easy to conceal with glasses or makeup (individual results vary).

Microneedling (Dermapen)

Mild
Redness and stinging typically last from the day of treatment to 2–3 days. Pinpoint redness or a rough texture may linger for a few days. Makeup is generally OK from the next day, making this an easy treatment to conceal.

HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)

Very mild
Redness, mild swelling, and muscle-ache-like soreness can last for a few days. In many cases makeup can be worn from the same day, and the treatment is generally said to be hard for others to notice (individual results vary).

Nasal Implant (Augmentation Rhinoplasty)

Substantial
The nasal cast stays on for about 1 week, and swelling and bruising typically last 1–2 weeks. Many people hide the cast with a mask, and there is a period when being seen in public is harder.

Lip Lift (Philtrum Shortening)

Moderate
A sutured incision remains below the nose, with stitches out at about 1 week. Swelling and tightness often last a few days to 2 weeks, and scar redness typically settles over a few months (individual results vary).

Skin Booster (Water Glow Injection)

Very mild
Redness, puffiness, and small needle marks for the first few days. If bruising appears, allow 1–2 weeks. Easy to conceal with makeup.

Pigment Spot Laser / Laser Toning

Mild
Spot removal leaves a scab for about 1–2 weeks (fairly easy to hide with makeup over it). Toning mainly causes redness, and makeup can sometimes be worn the same day.
